 Sleep Paralysis and Why It's Important 

Sleep Paralysis with some Tips on Mind Awake Body Asleep.

Let me tell you about sleep paralysis and why it's so important for getting out of body.
When doing the Mind Awake Body Asleep/Robert Monroe type techniques for getting out of body, it is important to understand the sleep paralysis phenomenon, becuase without a good understanding of it, it can scare you and make you want to stop when you are actually halfway there to getting out of body.

So what is sleep paralysis, anyway?


Sleep paralysis is a condition of the physical body that sets in as you fall asleep.  Normally you are falling asleep spiritually first, so you do not notice the physical body transitioning into sleep paralysis.  And don't feel paralyzed because you are asleep.

But the sleep paralysis is normal and should happen with everyone when they fall asleep.  The obvious reason for the sleep paralysis is so that when dreaming that you are running or punching someone in the nose, your body isn't acting out your intentions and you're not kicking over furniture and pissing off the person next to you in bed! 

If you are able to practice staying awake as your body falls asleep you WILL experience vibrations which is usually a precursor to the sleep paralysis.

Also if you are awake mentally and/or spiritually while the body is asleep, not only will the physical body be asleep, but you will be unable to move it.

This is because you have transitioned in consciousness such that you are no longer connected to the control center for the body.  You have been disconnected and so can't make it work (and it feels like you are paralyzed).  Think of climbing into a robot body suit thingy. 


You are all in, but you still have to put on the headgear so the electrodes hook into your head, then flip on the switch before you can make it work with just your thoughts.  It's like that when you lay down for a nap.  But going the other way.  You are in your Meat Popsicle and you are plugged in to it.  But when your body falls asleep, it is initiating the 'disconnect' process.  So now you can't move it.  It's a safety feature, because it knows that in your dream state - you are going to be goofing around and doing all kinds of crazy things.  You are going be intending, with your thoughts, with mental spiritual energy to move here, walk there, punch that, kiss this, and stuff like that.  :)  And you don't to be making out with your dog in your sleep, right?  Ok, so there ya go.  Good reason for sleep paralysis right there.

Let's move on.


Basically...

When the mind is awake and the body is asleep - you WILL be in a state of sleep paralysis.
Which btw, is a very good place to be, when in the process of getting out of body.
